SWISH

Created in 2021, Swish was born out of a need. After looking around and finding no space where queer and trans-BIPOC folks could play basketball in a non-competitive environment, founder Jamiece Adams decided to create one. With help from founding members, Chicago’s first queer and BIPOC-centered basketball club was born. And as the club has grown in numbers and in opportunities through Nike and The Bulls, its place as a brave space, where its members feel seen and valued by one another, has always come first. 

Everyone deserves a place where they feel like they belong. If it doesn’t exist, that just means that sometimes you gotta be first.
